The 5 world religions are obviously what is says. They are the most used religions in the world. They include Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam! Religion is when a person decides to put their faith into whatever it is that they believe. Some religions believe in one god and other believe in multiple gods. Monotheism is a religion in which you believe in one God. Polytheism is a religion In which you believe in many.
Siddhartha Gautama was the founder of Buddhism. He taught to live a good honest life in order to reach nirvana. A perfect state of understanding. With Buddhism they believe in reincarnation which is an after life depending on how you acted with your previous life. It can result in good or bad. Buddhism believes in one God, unlike Hinduism that believes in many. Hinduism is a religion that has changed throughout its time from being created. There isn't a single founder. Hindu teachers create the Upanishads which is all the Hindu beliefs in a book. This religion also believes in reincarnation, your after life again depends on your previous. their God is Braham who is known to have 3 personalities. modern Hindus can choose their own path to Moksha, a state of perfect understanding. It is their choice to follow the religion or not.
The Hebrews are the people who believe in Judaism. They are monotheistic, believing in their one and only God. The Hebrews call their God, "Yahweh". He is considered to be the all powerful God but not a physical being. Moses obeys one of Yahweh's commands to lead the exodus, taking Hebrews to Egypt. While being there at first they were honored but unfortunately became slaves within time. Moses receives 10 commandments which becomes basis of Hebrew life. Christianity and Judaism share the same God. God has a son named Jesus who teaches the 10 commandments during his lifetime. He had 12 apostles that followed in his footsteps. Jesus was disliked for his actions and is crucified. After three days from being crucifed Jesus returns from the dead to live for his people. Christianity appeals to everyone because the religion is accepting. Islam is the last world religion that also believes in God. To many people who believe in the religion, Islam is not only a religion but a way of life. They practice the 5 pillars. Faith, Prayer, Alms, Fasting, and pilgrimage. Islam has no priest or authority. They call their God, "Allah", which is the Arabic word for God.
